Author Guidelines
1. Original content
We’re looking for unique and valuable articles written specifically for our platform. Please ensure your article has not been published elsewhere and contributes fresh insights into culture change.
2. No summaries or repetitions
We’re interested in thought-provoking, in-depth pieces — not summaries of existing books or studies. Share your perspective, practical experience, or an analysis of current trends in the field of culture change.
3. Themes and relevance
Your article should relate to our current theme and contribute to the broader conversation around culture change. Under the ‘Themes’ section of our website, you’ll find the annual schedule of topics. In addition to articles, we also welcome blogs, interviews, columns, podcasts and video contributions.
4. Quality and depth
We value well-structured, clearly written articles that are supported by facts, research, or real-life examples. Please use references sparingly and only when they truly enhance your argument.
5. Article length
Articles should ideally be between 800 and 2,000 words. This allows for a thorough exploration of your topic without overwhelming the reader. Articles that fall outside this range may be edited in consultation with the author.
6. Language and style
Write in an accessible and professional tone. Avoid jargon where possible and explain any technical terms you use. An active, engaging writing style makes your article enjoyable for a wide audience.
7. Referencing
If you use sources or quotations, please ensure they are properly cited using a recognised referencing style (e.g. APA or Chicago). Plagiarism will not be tolerated.
8. Revisions and approval
All submitted articles will be carefully reviewed by our editorial team. We reserve the right to decline submissions. In some cases, we may request revisions to ensure your article is a fit for the platform.
9. Publication and author profile
Once your article is approved, your name will be included in our list of contributors. We encourage all authors to submit a short profile outlining their experience and expertise in culture change. This helps to showcase your work and connect you with fellow professionals in the field.
10. How to submit your article
To submit your article, please follow these steps:
- Send your article as a Word document to info@platformcultuurverandering.nl
- Include a brief summary (max. 150 words).
- Add an author bio of up to 100 words, along with a headshot.
- Ensure your article complies with all the above guidelines.
